TONY JAMES

Associate

Tony James serves as a Senior Associate and Highly Qualified Expert (HQE) for 5th Principle.  

Tony retired from the United States Army in 2011 after 22 years of Distinguished Service.  While in uniform, he was hand-selected by the 5th Principle President, Christopher Greca, to serve in numerous leadership positions.  He was recognized as the “best leader in the organization,” and because of this, Tony was selected over 29 of his peers to serve in the largest and most demanding position internal to the Brigade Combat Team (BCT). 

During his service, Tony led organizations ranging from 4 to 600 personnel as a Team Leader through Command Sergeant Major.  As a Soldier and Civilian, he has deployed to combat operations and peacekeeping missions in Iraq, Afghanistan, Kosovo, and Panama. He has completed all tiers of the Non-Commissioned Officer Education System culminating with the Resident course Class 59 of the US Army Sergeants Major Academy.  

Tony is also graduate of Ranger School Class 10-94.  This school has been recognized as one of the best leadership schools in the Nation, if not the best.

After retirement, Tony spent five years contracting in the Middle East in various Leadership and Training roles contributing to US Forces efforts in OIF/OEF as well as advising, training, and assisting our Allied partners.

Over the course of the past 30 years both in uniform and out, Tony has built an extensive and impressive resume as a trainer, leader, coach, teacher, and mentor.   He is also known in Senior Military circles for his ability to build cohesive teams, systems, and processes to increase organizational outputs and success.

Tony holds a Master of Science in Health Science and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Trident University.
